some people talk such rubbish!!
you cant get a house at a young age baby or not.
you cant get income from the government at a young age, baby or not.
you cant get money for pets!!
simple fact is kids grow up, or at least think they're grown up earlier and earlier all the time.
kids become sexually active earlier and earlier. sometimes it is lack of parental guidance, sometimes it's plain stupidity. sometimes accidental or even rape.
what ever the reasons are it's happening in lots of countries not just the UK.

for those who say the council don't give housing to young pregnant moms, WHAT A BIG FAT LIE! is this to make yourselves feel better about the problems around teenage pregnancies here in the uk?
it has reached such proportions that for a FEW WEEKS RUNNING the local paper (Thurrock Gazette late 2006) (check the library for copies) there was an article telling of girls abusing the system to a) get out of school because as soon as they're mums, they no longer need to complete the compulsory schooling till age 16. also, the council (who was interviewed in the article) said it could no longer cope with the demand of housing provided for single teenage pregnant mums. Also, the state gives an allowance to any parent (i think £50 per week) whether its a teenager or a married professional, but obviously teenagers in thurrock found some appeal in this and abused the system entirely.
now, i have to ask the poster of this question, how in high heaven would a pension be saved by people catching wind of this idea and abusing the system as it is so clearly abused by teenagers here?

Education and the way they are brought up i think has a lot to do with it, kids seem to be starting a lot younger than we did.
My eldest son is 18 and has always got a draw full of condoms in his bedroom, I make sure of it....
Since he was 14 I have been getting condoms for him, from the family planning clinic. At 14 he was in a steady relationship and was with the same girl for 3 years. He seemed too young to me, I would rather that he would have waited a few yrs but I couldn't stop him, (and I think I did try!! probably to bribe him with sweets or something, but didn't stand a chance up against a young blonde thing!! errm sweets or sex.... ) so decided to make sure he was safe instead.
I dont think it helps that the government hand out cash and houses to young girls when they get pregnant.

I had read a story in one of my magazins about a 16 year old girl wnating to be pregnant and then fell pregnant because it seemed easier to her than going out and getting a job (that is what she thinks anyway) she stated that she would end up with her own home, benifits(a very immature way off looking at it) and not actually go out there and earning a living like i have had to do since i was 16.
It actually makes me mad when i hear of teenage girls doing it for this reason they are very very selfish in my eyes.
I am 18 19 in august and 7 weeks pregnant, i am in a long term relationship and have a fiance that i know will guide me and help me through the thick and thin, i have saved money up since i got myself a paper round at 13 and know that i will have a secure future for my child, i will not be scrounging of peoples tax money and i will also carry on working till the later stages of my pregnancy.
I just wish that there was more that can be done to Stop these teenage girls thinking pregnancy is the easy way out!!!
AND TO JUST STATE THAT YES YES YES! TEENAGE GIRLS WILL E GIVEN A HOUSE WILLY NILLY, SEVERAL OFF MY FREINDS HAVE GOT THER OWN PLACE AND THERE IS A SPECIFIC PLACE IN A TOWN NEAR TO WHERE I LIVE TO ACCOMADATE YOUNG MUMS AND WERE PUT THERE SPECIFICALLY FOR THAT REASON! SO DONT GIVE THAT RUBBISH THAT THEY WILL NOT BE GIVEN A HOUSE ETC BECAUSE THEY BLOODY WELL DO!!!

They just start early. It's a habit of the lower classes. But I don't know if that affects pensions, they're normally firmly stuck into the welfare system (bad schooling, worse jobbing, no chance of private housing, council dwelling). The middle classes have no childhood pregnancy. They're too busy with grammar school.

its coz in the UK the state gives money to support your child. and a house. so an early pregnancy is good-ish (if you want a shitty child and a crappy life after that). but then the kids are like those you see on nanny911. its sad... just like pets. if you dont have work in the UK and u got a pet, then the state gives you cash to support your pet. the children are not educated. or they could be getting pregnant on perpous...

Because heterosexuals are procreating. Let's hope it's within wedlock!
Simply, don't promote anything other than heterosexual monogomous legal marriage unions! Encourage families by not penalizing them with heavy tax burdens and rewarding those who don't deserve a break.
