Wonder Woman(named Princess Diana in Paradise Island and Diana Prince when she left) comes from Paradise Island but she left to serve, protect, and to live among mankind. She was banned from her Island for interacting with others outside of her people on Paradise Island but when her people were in trouble, she returned with her new found Superfriends to save the day! Linda Carter rocked as Wonder Woman! Girl power! Now if all of us just had a magic lasso to make people tell the truth!lol!

OK we all know that Wonder Woman is the heroine you were talking about....
BUT... technically all the Amazons on Paradise Island have some enhanced abilities or super powers, though they vary in degree and intensity.
