First, focus a bit more on what you want to do, so that it isn't so broad. Media is so far away from finance, unless you become a financial writer. Computers can be used in London, with the media, and with finance, but at what level do you have a passion for. Don't waste your time with work experience in a career field that you show no passion for; possible take a Strong-Campbell Inventory test and you will know which area fits your personality and life style better. Good luck. Work experience is a great way to learn about a career field, and also about yourself.

Do anything that involves "Customer Service"... like a call center or working in retail... do it for 6 months at least and it looks VERY good on your resume.

Make sure you do something worth while use it as an insight into an industry you are interested in.....you are not a spare...free...shelf stacker!
