friends even though you simply dislike them?

No. That would make me untrue to myself, and that is not something I would compromise. I cannot and will not befriend someone I dislike. It's okay for me and my friends to have our own separate friends. :)

No, that would be foolish, and possibly detrimental to me.

People are known by the company they keep. I do not dislike anyone without cause. There are very few people I dislike, and they have earned it. There are more I avoid, but I do not really dislike them.

I recently had to warn a friend of mine about a friend of his friend. The one I dislike has most assuredly earned disdain, as a review of their past would demonstrate. And it isn't just the past, I saw similar activity yesterday from the despicable one, even though the evidence later disappeared.

It is already a very harsh world, without giving comfort to the agitators, simply because they can pretend to be stong, sociable, or play the poor, poor, pitiful me game. It is my understanding that Hitler and Stalin were both very likable and charismatic in person.

I don't hunt anyone, but I do read a lot of histories, to determine with whom I am dealing, especially on the net. Sometimes it takes in-depth analyses to determine who someone really is, and of all the histories I have read, only one writes like a sociopath. Words cannot undo prior actions or words that fostered hatred or evil.

I have a unique ability, in that I almost never forget anything. I do remember that the friend of my friend had previously been friends with the treacherous person.

I am a very cautious person, with very good reasons. I have a great many friends, on several levels of friendship. I would never dream of jeopardizing them by knowingly involving myself with someone who wishes harm on others, regardless of how good that person was at working the sociopath game.

Ya Why Not It is Not Like You Have To Hang Out With them All The Time

I try to weigh the options- pros and cons then watch my back and what I say... trust is scarce but when you do find it, hold on to it. I may dislike a person because of several factors but that doesn't give me the right to judge them just because we don't see eye-to-eye, that's the beauty of relationships and communication levels.
Good question.

I'm just wondering if you dislike them, why do you call them your friend? And about your Q it depends on what it is and who its from. Good luck.

yes, My best friend and I have been best friends for almost 10 years, and some of her friends ( or ours from high school) I can't stand, but I tolerate them, because me hanging out with my bf is more important, and usually once you start haning out it is alright.... but they would never ever be my pick of people!

Nope - There aren't enough hours in the day for me to be nice to people I don't like.
