have expectations and deal with the disappointments (if there are any)?

My New Year's resolution is not to have no expectations and two people have criticized me. But since I don't expectations, their opinion don't matter. I am asking because I am at a loss for questions to ask today.

Expectations mean hope.. "I expect that this will happen, and I hope that it really happens". Life without expectations will be ok, what life gives you you'll take it just like it is. However, life will be much nicer and interesting if we have expectations and hope about things we wish for, of course there will be disappointments, but this is how life goes. Pepper and salt!

I agree with you that if you do not have expectations, then you cannot be disappointed. Too many folks are unhappy simply because they cannot grasp this concept.
Kudos to you for your resolution!

You didn't have to ask a question.... for serious. And if you have low expectations, then yes, life is quite easy...
