As a producer, assistant director, and actor in small theater productions, I would say that your best option is one that you can really nail. You're better off doing an easy song that you are really good at and that shows your vocal range rather than trying to do something that is beyond your vocal talents.
Falling in Love with Love is a great song that has a very "stage" sound and if you can nail it, then by all means, go for it.
I would stay away from anything that is too pop-oriented since you're not going to be singing pop songs in a musical.
Once you pick your song - practice, practice, then practice some more and make sure that you bring sheet music in case they want to have somebody accompany you, or a music-only CD.
You should also make sure you can sing it without accompaniment as well since you never know what they'll ask you to do.

Falling in Love with Love is a great song! I love it (no pun intended). The Boyfriend is a musical right? Grab the cd or download it and see if there are any songs that grab your attention right away. There generally is with me. I also LOVE the Aida soundtrack, as well as Chicago and Grease. Hairspray's pretty cool too. Just go with your first instinct. If you like the song, and can hit all the notes, then go for it.
Best Wishes with your auditions!!!

I am not sure what to say about that because I have never actually been to the theater. So basically I have never actually been to a Play before. I hope to visit the Opera house in Sidney, Australia.
