They probably had more than one ipod to sell and they used the same description but forgot to change it completely. Just email the seller for clarification.

Just means it has been used but it still looks new, as in barely used.
I myself an an iPod and have only used it maybe 4 times but have owned it for a year. I could sell mine as used but in new condition.

Its May not have much use But Beware of buying a use one how much is it ? your best bet is to go to the Aplle store on line and buy a refurbished one they come with a warranty and have been gone over as well

I think they can say it is new if it wasn't actually used by the previous owner. Or, they screwed up in their definitions and I would look for another ipod that is "new or new in box".

they are two different things..
pre-owned means somebody else has used it..
and the condition means if it is scratched, or has cracks, this like that...
the owner must have taken good care of it..

if its in its original packaging and hasn't been opened, its likely an unwanted gift. eg xmas. if this is the case then it would be considered pre-owned but new.
