No paper work came with it and the songs that are on it I really dont want but since the computer will not recognize the ipod shuffle I can not charge or even add or delete any of the songs.. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You need to download the itunes program from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ .

For a start download iTunes
It should recognise the ipod and go through a setup process
iTunes is free from apples website

use the i pods instalation disk if u receved one with it if you didn't get one i'd contact e-bay for assistance i'm not sure if apple will send you a disk or not but you need to install the program onto your pc first
