Yes, several times and in my profession with aromatherapeutics and writings; trends are like curses sometimes, be sure to have an attorney to back up your claims, I know I do.

at highschool i once got everyone sticking sticky notes on themselves, heaps of people did it!! It was so stupid, i went home and laughed and laughed at the fools. I guess thats not really a trend though.

Yeah...I like starting new slang words or phrases...like;
It takes one monkey to make the zoo rock and I'm that monkey!
If there isn't a door of opportunity to knock on..build one!
and a word I like to use that means the same as 'cool', and that is..basic!!! "that is so basic!".
I'm always coming up with new ones and I've thought about putting some of them on bumper stickers or T-shirts!

I was the first in my school to get their nose pierced....now I see a lot other around with theirs done...funny thing is that was a few years ago and I don't have mine done anymore but there still more people gettin' it done.

I'm not much of a trend setter, but thanks to MacHine, I have the entire population of my school saying 'Gravitas' for 'thank you'. We've become a 'politer' place ever since... :)
