If you want to, then yes. You're mother will probably be less likely to overreact if you're up front about it. It's very good to keep the line of communication open with your mother. If you're comfortable enough with what happened (which you should be) Then yeah, tell your mom.

I don't really think it is anyone's place to say when sex is "wrong" or that there is an age that it's "right." Sex isn't about right or wrong...it's about two mature people sharing themselves through an act of love.

So, as for your question...

Firstly, you have to be okay with sex and know that it's what you want and what you and your boyfriend are truly ready for, and you have to become educated on protection and prevention. Once you realize that you are mature enough for sex and the consequences that may come with it, then you might have an easier time talking to your mom about it. You both have to be ready to handle it, you know.

Have you talked with your boyfriend about your concerns? Talk to him about your worries and how you feel, if you can.

You are in a difficult position because your parents may not be okay with you having premarital sex. If you tell your mom, she may freak out and really crack down on you. If you think she is ready to handle such issues, then you should at least talk with her about sex and how you both feel about it. Maybe then you don't have to tell her that you've actually done it but that you're not against premarital sex if the time is right for you. Once you show her that you are mature enough to understand sex and what you want, then she may have an easier time understanding you.

If you feel like your mom is not ready to even discuss the possibility of sex, I suggest you talk with someone else.. preferrably a trusted adult. Sometimes sex and relationships along with dealing with school and family can be rough.

There is no right or wrong answer to this. If you feel you should tell your mom then do so, if you don't feel you should then don't. I am sure you are smart and know how to protect yourself so I won't lecture on that. Tell her if you want to. Consider what your mom has told you to do when you talked about sex in the past, if she told you no sex until marriage but you could be open with her then be open with her. Good luck!

You should make sure you're using efective birth control properly and protecting yourself against STDS. No matter what he says, no matter if you were both virgins. Pregnancy and/or stds at age 15 can make your life very complicated and steal whatever freedom you might have.
If your mother will help you get birth control, condoms, and understand the physical and emotional consequences of what you're doing, you must tell her.
