I live in La Crescenta, California, and that's about 20-25 minutes from LA/Hollywood, since it's a suburb of those cities

I live with my parents, Im 19 yrs old, male, fit, dark features..yadda yadda..I've done a COUPLE of school plays, not too much, But i've caught the bug and want to work if not fully atleast on the side in this field, I'm studying communications/PR in school now and I just want to work summers and sometimes in the spring just to see how far I can get, I know realistically it's a long shot but it is still a shot!...I went to the same school as HAley Joel Osmet the kid form the sixth sense so like it his happening around me I'd like to try.

I just don't know where to start, how does one find an agent/photographer for headshots, all that..how can I sell myself so to speak..

I mean physically I think I look good, I never get stage fright, I'm really friendly and easy going, so it's not like im shy or nervous

Try this: http://www.actorsconnection.com/classes.html

If you have not taken acting classes, that is your first step. Find an acting school and enroll. Stay in the acting class for the next 5 years. You are not ready for an agent, or headshots. You must develop a resume that includes your professional work in the industry: theatre, films, television, commercials, etc.

Here's what you do:
First and foremost, choose a headshot photographer. TVI Studios in LA has an entire headshot gallery on it's website listing a ton of great photographers in your area. Call and schedule an appointment with the photographer who's work you like the most, and who fits in your price range. Choose a few pictures you like the most, and boom, you have headshots.

Secondly, compose a resume. It should list your name, birthdate, height, weight, eye & hair colors, theater, comercials, film, TV, print, TRAINING, education, awards, and special skills.

Third, go to the Samuel French bookstore and pick up a copy of the book "The Right Agent". This lists every SAG Franchised agent in Los Angeles. Pick about 10 at a time to submit to.

Fourth, compose a "coverletter" to include in your submission. Your coverletter should include the highlights of your performing experience, stuff you like to do, and why you want to act.

FINALLY, compose your submission. Purchase large envelopes and adress them to each agency. In each envelope, include a printed COLOR headshot on 8x10 glossy paper, a resume, and a coverletter in front.

THIS IS HOW I GOT MY AGENT! GOOD LUCK!
