Start Menu > Accessories > System Tools > Chatacter map > Copy > Paste it!

Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Character Map, find the cent sysmbol then select it & hit copy, then right click when you want it & click paste

Put your NumLock on, hold down 'Alt' and type 0162 on the numeric keypad, then release 'Alt'.

Alternatively, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map. Find the character you want, click on it and it will be copied to the clipboard. Then paste wherever you need it.
