While dentistry is a quite crowded profession and one should consider whether to make that choice, the answer to the question will be gotten by contacting dental schools.

Don't. We have a glut of dentists in this country. One of the more prestigous schools of dentistry in Washington DC closed last year (Georgetown University) because the graduates can't make enough money to pay back their loans. I think it's laudable that you want to go into medicine, but dentistry is rather dead end right now. You should consider another field of expertise.
