well i heard that if u hear an owl is a sign of bad luck, is it true? if its not wat does it mean? we live in a residential area... its really rare when you see or hear owl's?

If you heard an owl "howling," it's probably a were-owl since most owls "hoot" or "screech." I'd run away if I were you.

It's actually good luck, if you are a mouse. Hooting owls are not hunting.

For Heavens sake man, this is the 21st century. Do you panic every time you hear a bird singing? That's all an owl hoot is "My territory - go away" (to other owls, not you)

When you hear an how "hoot" it's means that there is an owl outside. They aren't bad luck. That's just dumb.
