Im a freshmen in High School and i was wondering what good colleges there are in New York to study to be a Vet. I know i can get into a good college because im passing every class with 90's and 80's. I was also wondering what classes i should or need to do in order to study that, because i heard if you want to study medicine you should take Latin because most medicine is in Latin, and i was also wondering how long i should be in college to get a full degree in Vetinary Medicine. I dont want to go to a too expensive college either.

Vet school is a grad school. So, get into the best college you can. Pick a science major to make it easier to get into the classes required by Vet schools. Do well in college and make sure you fulfill all the requirements for vet school. If you need to save money, just go to a state school.

I wouldn't take Latin just to understand medical terms better. Medicine isn't written in latin. Some words may have a latin base, but that's true for the English language in general. My wife and friends who are in the medical field never took Latin. It's unnecessary.

I'm in law and I'm pretty sure there are more actual Latin phrases used than in medicine. Still wouldn't recommend taking Latin just to better be able to understand what those phrases mean. That's what a law dictionary is for.
