Boy this is a good one. I feel like he has emotions and that he can share this in front of me wow. Hold him. and listen to what he has to say. There is nothing wrong with a man crying.

depends on what he's crying for.
my hubby will cry when it's inappropriate because he hasn't grown up emotionally and ignores his feelings when he shouldn't.
He can watch his mother cry about something he's said or done without a sign of emotion, and then do something like break an old plate that's been handed down for generations and everyone is angry and he will cry and beg forgiveness! It's vile and childish and he knows how immature he is, but he hasn't seen a therapist or even have the desire to.
I wouldn't have married him if I would have known this! (you can't know everything about someone)

It depends on what they're crying about. If my husband cries about a loss in his family, or something very substantial then I feel horrible and my reaction is usually trying to comfort unless he needs time alone.

If a guy cries about something not substantial, like getting his feelings hurt because you said something then that's a different story in my book. I understand certain guys are sensitive but I personally do not have the patience for an emotional guy. Women look to men to be emotional rocks and if they are not then they have to find a woman who is to balance them out.

I'm not married anymore, but:

I felt absolutely horrible when I saw my husband cry, probably because it was such a rare occurrance. It meant it had to be a devestating event, like a death or a terrible hurt. What I did was held him and rocked him back and forth and toldd him it would be ok or talked to him about what ever it was (depended on the situation)

Like the world is coming to an end. Men never cry. Sometimes it bothers me that he never crys, but then when he does, I feel a million times worse. Cause you know it's something crazy when a man cries.

I dont see my husband cry often, but when he does, I have to hold back my own tears ( if I can) I dont get all mushy with him, because I figure that he already feels un-manly enough, so I dont say anything to him about it.

Its not acceptable for men to cry unless its major such as a funeral or close personal friend or relative has a severe crisis. Otherwise, they are girly men. The problem is that society is becoming more and more feminized and real men are becoming more and more scarce. When we all become so squishy that its sickening, we will lose our society and most likely fall to fanaticism. Just look to the Romans for a litmus test of weakness....
