My oldest was 9 months and my youngest will be about the same age..... you can do them as young as 6 months at most places. Always request that they do both ears at the same time though.... otherwise you might only get one done.. LoL!

You can do it at any age, but to be nice to the baby wait until she is old enough to take care of her pierced ears. I have seen them get very very infected and painful.

My friend had her daughters ears pieced very early at around 2 months of age. Much less traumatic for the child to do it so early and have no memory of the pain. She is 3 now and completely used to wearing earrings.

I have seen it done as soon as 2 weeks....I ment to get my baby's girls pierced at 6 weeks, but I chickened out until she was a year and a half....I just felt to bad about it when she was so little....and believe it or not she has never played with them, yanked on them or anything :) The avatar pic I have is when we went to the mall, it was taken right after her ears were pierced :)

I think the sooner, the better to go ahead and get it over with. The older the baby is they seem to recognize the pain and tend to cry and bleed more. But most babies are around two or three months old when they first get their ears pierced.

mine was 7 years old. Your gonna get a lot of people telling you not to get a babies ears pierced. Dont listen to them. I choose to wait till my daughter was older but you dont have to do the same. I would at least wait till you think it would be easier to clean the piercings and twist them. Maybe between 4 months and a year. Good Luck.

Around 6 months, ask her doctor, they may be able to pierce them for you, that's where i had my daughters done, but I waited till she was 4,old enough to know how to help take care of them!

to be safe, i'd say two months at least,
but if you actually want your baby's piercings to be even when she gets older, don't pierce her ears until at least one year, if you do it too early (less than a year) as your baby gets older, and grows, the earrings become uneven, and you don't want that!

If you don't want them to be messing with them then it's best to do it by 6 months of age. Also, from a germ standpoint, talk to your baby's pediatrician. Most drs. offices will do ear piercing in the office and it's much more sanitary than the jewelry department at WalMart or Claire's.
