I read a scholarly article once about the rhetorical structures that black and white kindergarten children used when doing the activity "Show and Tell". The white teacher praised the white students when they did the activity, but when the black children used a different rhetorical structure to do the same activity, they were "doing it wrong".

I'm almost certain that black children and white children behave differently in schools, based on the fact that they come from different cultural backgrounds.

The answer to your question, is "no."

I have two elementary age kids and I don't see any behavioral differences between them and their white classmates.

Your question is flawed in that it assumes that race explains behavioral differences between groups of children. If I compared a group of poor white elementary children from Appalacia with a group of rich kids from Manhattan, there would be behavioral differences. Would "race" explain it?

It still amazes me how people still try to use "race" to explain what they can't understand.

Let's see....when a black or white child is hurt, they want comforted and a cool band aid. At lunch time, both are equally hungry. Recess is the best part of day for both black or white children. No, I guess all I notice is the similarities. Perhaps that is what you should focus on also.

Kids act according to the norms of their culture and act within the limits of the parameters set in the home.

From my experience as a teacher I've seen poorer kids act a certain way; I've seen kids whose parents or guardians spend inadequate time with them perform a certain way; I've seen kids of wealthy people act a certain way. These observations tend to transcend color and have more to do with the environment.

My daughter is 0.5 caucasian/0.5 South Indian and that i'm continuously stunned how sluggish her hair grows while in comparison with mine or different caucasians. Her hair is curly and could bypass to her backside while moist. She is 5 and has had basically 2 haircuts. She's my DAH - ling!

No, they all act like little adult versions of their role models. I see a lot of little white kids wearing pants that are much too large and hold up their pants with one hand. I still don't see why they think that this is a good look.

If a zombie popped up out of the ground, they'd be dead meat.

I don't think it matters what color they are as much as what environment they grew up in!

I think most elementary kids just want to have friends and have fun.

Every child acts different. It really depends on the way they are raised.
