Savitri by Sri Aurobindo in English. Try it . It is an ancient story of a woman who could win back her husband from death by her sheer love for the Truth and strength of character. It is highly philosophical and an excellent poetry by a great Indian mystic who mastered in Latin, Greek and Sanskrit and had written a number of philosophical treatises..

I would recommend the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison. The first (there are seven or eight) is Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging. And the series is still continuing. Also I would recommend Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and its sequel New Moon. (There will be more in the series, but that is it so far). I would also recommend Sarah Dessen. She's a great YA romance writer. She doesn't write series, but all of her books are good.

There are tons :)
How about the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum books? they're great fun, and I think there are 13 of them.
If it's girly type books you're into, try some Marian Keyes maybe, she's pretty unputdownable.

Try Hilary McKay's series beginning with Saffy's Angel, about an unusual family (three sisters and one brother) who are all very artistic and dreamy.
