i'm writing a greek myth for reading class. IT HAS TO BE A HERO MYTH! (like hercules/heracles) you can include greek gods/goddesses, but the plot has to be original. also, any orginal cool greek character names for the gods/goddesses? (man or woman is fine) or descriptions on greek fantasy animals? thanks!

IDK, but check Joseph Campbell for info on how to write a fairy tale (conflict, trials, resolution, reward). Most myths conform to regular folklore rules.

Check a book of symbols (like the Complete Encyclopedia of Symbols) for attributes of animals, then combine parts of animals to combine attributes. Like, say, dogs are loyal and birds are able to rise above the dingy ol' world. So a dog-bird hybrid would be loyal and endowed with a strong spiritual side.

for fantasy animals, check some art books. looking at my boyfriends, shelves, they've got some pretty wild concoctions for your fantasy animals.
