there are so many africans entering europe why don't we go to africa 'put it right' then will they follow us

Europeans probably should have thought about that before they went plundering in Africa. Africans going to Europe is just your own chickens coming home to roost.

The main reason why Africans have not developed their countries to the same level that we have in the affluent 'western' cultures is because they lack many of the resources which are essential for economic progress. In some areas even water is deemed to be a luxury.

As global warming becomes more entrenched their plight will worsen even more. It is no surprise then that these people are so keen to escape their wilderness countries and come to the developed nations in order to live.

If we truly want them to stay in Africa then our politicians should help them by improving their infrastructure. For example, by building desalination plants and helping to fight Aids and Malaria. Western politicians could also help by removing dictators like Mugabe who hold back progress and democracy.

If our politicians actually practiced what they preached and invested heavily in building up the physical and politicial infrastructure so desperately needed in African countries then many Africans would have no need to travel to our countries in order to escape their plight.

There isn't anything wrong with the land - it's the people. Specifically, the corrupt governments. If we take all of the people out, the problem would be solved, but the problem would return when we put them back.

If all of the problems in Africa could be fixed, you probably would see a lot of people return to it if they didn't establish roots wherever they went to when they left.

There is a lot to be said about taking note of good qualities, and practicing them. I notice this about people here in Britain worshipping American ideas, it is so embarrassing. I think the problem could be with understanding itself, and that problem stems from religion and fate/identity. People don't always see things as things, but identify them with the person they saw them done by.

There are more white people in Africa than there are black people in Europe. We went there first and nicked all their resources with the promise that they could come back to our place.

No, no they wouldn't follow you back, cos they'd all have got too used to the wonderful life on benefits & freebies that we offer. It also doesn't help that they suffer drought over there, so the crop failure would still be there, the tribal warfare would still be there & the lack of development would still be there, so "sorting out Africa" would be an incredibly short term project.
