Healthwise, glasses are better. Contacts will not correct your vision and you can develop infections if you do not care for them correctly. Glasses can eventually correct your vision, whereas contacts will not. Glasses also provide clearer vision as opposed to contacts because they do not sit directly on your eye. You may find that you are unable to wear contacts; sometimes they are very difficult to put in, and sometimes they'll irritate your eyes so much that you won't be able to stand having them on your eyes.

So, my advice is ask your eye doctor about the pros and cons of each. Get a trial pair of contacts to see if you can handle them. If you can't, there are soooo many different frame styles out there that you will be able to find a pair of glasses that make you look awesome!

This is really a personal preference issue. I have needed correction since the 6th grade (seems like forever ago). I had glasses until I graduated high school, then changed to contacts. While I look good in glasses, I prefer contacts because I live in a cold climate and didn't like it when the fogged up when you went inside after being out in the cold.
On the other hand, my boyfriend wears glasses because he has such strong blink reflex that it is virtually impossible to pry his eyelid open to put them in (just ask his doctor!).
Whichever way you prefer to go, most eye doctors recommending having a backup plan in case something happens to your primary use. So, if you prefer contacts, get a cheaper pair of glasses in case you are having a bad allergy day or the like and contacts don't seem like a good idea. If you prefer glasses, they recommend getting a back-up pair in case your primary pair gets broken or lost.
It all boils down to what you prefer, and what you think you look best in. If you like it, and it looks good, then you will feel confident, and others will perceive that you look good because of your confidence.

I have both. I use contacts sometimes and sometimes glasses. It is sorta hard to put in contacts all the time but yet I'm more into them then glasses. I'd get both if I were you and switch between the two. Like when your outfit matches your glasses wear them but other then that don't!

Both are great for their own reasons. Some celebrities wear fake glasses without a prescription because they want that "look" of being scholar-ly or a deep thinker. Of course contacts are good because if you are an active person, you don't have to worry about getting your specs knocked off your head.

personally I wear classes but I can't stand the thought of putting something in my eye. I think wearing glasses is definitely safer than contacts but if your worried about looking nerdy like some people say, which is not true. If you decide to were contacts you must remember to really take care of them, cleaning them, DON"T SLEEP WITH THEM ON...
I think you should go with glasses its the safer choose but if you could bare the thought of putting something in your eye then you should go with that...I hope I help answer your question....

Contacts are better if you dont want to have to coordinate with your outfit. Glasses are more of a fashion statement. They are sold in styles and colors to go with anything.

I wear contacts and it's so comfortable and great. Glasses are great for a persons personality, like how it goes with their clothing, or how they are. But contacts are great, but you need to take care of them, alot! But I go for contacts, great for sports, except swimming.

Depends. I hear contacts allow one to see very clearly. Some think maybe too clearly. : ) I don't wear glasses so, I'm not sure.
