I am fed up of not knowing if I am taping a new program or an episode from an old series.

It's about time they added Series and Episode and then everybody would know where they were.

The yahoo guide used to give the date shows originally aired. I miss that so much. Since that changed to beta a couple months back, I've gotten into the habit of tv.com because all the info is right there. Still, it's not as thorough as the old yahoo tv listings.

OK, that's more of a venting than an answer, but it's an emotional subject.

If they haven't yet they probably never will, but it is a great idea. My family uses DishNetwork and it's program guide shows the original air date of every show on every channel two weeks in advance. It is possible that other DVR programs like TIVO offer the season and/or original air date, but I am not sure. If your interested, check them out, and if not then i dont know what to tell you.
