I treated myself to Canon Pixma MP800 from Amazon (£164) but they no longer have it in stock, try a price search with Kelco or Pricegrabbers (for a start put "Canon Pixmar MP800" into Google)
I went for this one because i did not want Fax (don't spend money on something you do not need)
It is an absolute beauty, you would not believe the quality of the photos it produces and normal black and white text print is top notch.I scanned a photo from a magazine, edited it, then made a print and you would think that i had taken the photo with a good camera and had it printed at a shop.
Features
Fast Borderless Printing
Direct Photo Printing
User-friendly LCD viewer
Easy Image Enhancement
Cost-effective Single Ink System
DVD/CD Label Printing
Automatic Double-sided Printing
Two Paper Trays
High Quality Scanning
35mm film/slide scanning
Fast Copying
Powerful software
I certainly do not regret paying this amount for it as it is an absolute dream. The software supplied with it makes things very easy. http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Product_Finder/Multifunctionals/Multifunctionals/PIXMA_MP800/index.asp
If you find you can no longer get hold of one, then look at the Pixma MP810, this is the new one ,although it will cost you more

I hope this has been a help to you ..........bye!

Unlike the first "answerer" I've got a great lexmark, it does everything, the only downside is the cost of the ink, it cost me around £120.

I'm happy with my Hewlett Packard 1215. If you're going to use it for business, you might need something a bit more robust.
