In your letter you need to show your principal that you really want to be in school. Why DO you want to go back to school? If it is only for the social aspect of school, that will not cut it. Show in your letter that you appreciate how important school is, and that you won't jeopardize your chances of graduating by any more immature behavior.

Apologize for whatever you did that got you suspended, and mean it. If necessary, write letters of apology to anyone who was upset or offended or hurt when you got suspended and include a copy of those letters with your letter to the principal. Accept responsibility for whatever you did, admit that you were to blame, and indicate that it will not happen again. Offer to accept whatever special restrictions that might be placed on you if you are accepted back. Promise that you will be on your best behavior, and mean that too. Indicate that you want to do whatever is necessary to make up the work you have missed.

If you are accepted back, be grateful for the second chance you are being given. Be a model citizen of your school, and show everyone that you have changed your ways.

You should write about how education affects the rest of your life. Use real stories from people on Yahoo, maybe. It would probably convince them to accept you back. But be sure to apologize for whatever it was you got suspended for at the end of the letter.

You should write about why whatever you did to get suspended was wrong, what you learned from this experience, changes you plan to make to ensure that nothing like this happens again, the importance of being in a school that you love so that you get the most of your time there, and apologize deeply for your behaviour.

For 'Why you want to go there', you need to say what you hope to achieve by completing your education.

At what age do you want to end your education?

Which career do you want to go into and why?

Do you want to go straight into a job or go on to college or university?

If you do want to go to university, which subject do you need a degree in for your career? Which school subjects and grades do you need to get into university?

-------------

As well as this - why were you suspended?

They need an apology, a promise that you won't do it again or be disruptive to other people's education and they need convincing that they can trust you to stick to any promises that you make. If you've broken promises in the past, what has changed? What has changed? Why can they trust you now?

One answer may be that you've realised how immature you were being and how much you need an education to support yourself and any family that you start. Also, you realise how selfish it is to disrupt other people's eduction. You could be ruining their lives if they can't get an education.

If you got suspended for bullying other kids, stop doing it. Search for 'bullying' questions on Yahoo Answers to see how miserable it makes them.

If you were suspended for drink or drugs or theft, convince them you're getting help.

well that would depend on what you got suspended for...you need to prove to the school that you are worthy of going back for an education at their estabishment.

Whoa...same thing happened to my friend, but he's not coming back...:( Why don't you just write about what you like about it? What you miss, what you care about, things like that.
