That depends on what you think. Are you really going to believe the people that you see on television? I personally don't believe that UFO's exist because if they did, wouldn't they have the technology to hide themselves? And if they wanted to reveal themselves, why don't they just land on the White House front lawn? I personally won't believe that UFO's exist until I see a UFO or alien myself.

Even if UFOs are real, they could be just experimental military aircraft. They might have nothing to do with aliens. I have no doubt there must be life elsewhere in the universe, but it's doubtful aliens are secretly making excursions here on Earth.

Hello =)
Well....consider this...
If the universe is truly infinite, and it contains an infinite number of worlds. Then, the law of infinite probability comes into play.
Einstein explored this as an abstract, purely for his own amusement, but basically, it boils down to this.
In an infinite universe, everything that can happen, has happened, is happening, and will happen.
So, to give you an absurd example, this means that if the universe is truly infinite, there is a planet of beings somewhere, who all look like oprah winfrey, who obtain nourishment by drinking the blood of Koala bears, by inserting straws into their necks and drinking them like a juice-box.
Absurd, certainly, but when one approaches the law of infinity probability from this perspective, it is almost a certainty.
Thus, the probability that there are creatures in the universe who exist, and have the ability to travel vast distances through space to observe us, exists. Furthermore, the possibility that these beings would be undetectable, for the most part exists, so, the short answer to your question is:
Do they exist? Definitely
Have they ever been to earth? Possibly
Would we know it if they were? Possibly not.
Namaste, and Happy New Year,
--Tom

Statistically it's very likely that intelligent life exists outside of our solar system, but I highly doubt anybody has seen or been in contact with any extraterrestrial beings. Consider this: The nearest star is Alpha Centuri. It's about 4.3 light years from Earth (about 25.8 trillion miles). It would take 10,000 years to get there in a space ship travelling at 25,000 mph.
To put it another way -- if 1 inch equaled 1 million miles, the distance from Earth to the nearest star would be about 400 miles.
It's impossible to travel at the speed of light because the mass of any object travelling so fast would become infinite, and the energy needed to move an object that size would also be infinite (according to Einstein's relativity).

No I haven't seen one. That is if you refer to anything seen in the sky that cannot be identified (hence, the term UFO).
For Aliens or Extra-Terrestials, I haven't seen one either. But I do believe they exist. Why am I saying this?. Think of the matter in this way:
Our solar system is a group of planets revolving around our Sun. The Earth, where we humans live and exist, is one of these planets. Our sun is a star and the whole universe is composed of millions or probably billions of stars similar to our sun. Each of these stars have their own solar systems, with planets revolving around them as well. Are we to believe that in the vast expanse of the universe with billions of solar systems, our Earth is the only planet that is capable of supporting life beings?. Simple statistics and probabilities surely shows that this cannot be the case.
Our present science as it is, regardless of our advances in Astronomy is still very limited. We can only explore within our own solar system, and even that is still very limited. Had any man-made craft able to reach as far away as Pluto (the farthest planet in our solar system)?. Even the most powerful Radio-telescope in existence only allow us to look at more distant stars and galaxies, but still not powerful enough to see individual planets on even the nearest star.
Life beings on other galaxies, assuming that they have the same level of technology as we have, or more primitive technology than what we have now, then there will be no chance that we can ever make any contact with them (not in several hundred years, at least), since they are just limited within their own solar system. On the other hand, if these life beings possess technology much highly advanced compared to our own, then it's likely that they have already known of our existence. They could be somewhere up there, who knows?.

Aliens may very well exist. Realize the distance between solar systems is huge 4.3 light years (the distance light can travel in a year) to the next nearest solar system.
Think about the energy it would take yo go that far. How long would it take to go that far? Also how would they know we are here? Are they just out wandering aimlessly?
Other life forms may well exist, I just doubt we will ever know about them.

i've seen a couple of ufos, one whizzed right over my head. it was during the 4th of july. my dad saw it too, otherwise i would have thought i was crazy. if you really want to see one, hang out around the 4th of july at night. Every 4th of july I see a lot of weird things. I think the aliens mark it on their calendar that we have a lot of fireworks going on during that time, and they visit to see what it's all about.
