I miscarried on Fri. I heard you are more fertile after pregnancy does that also apply to miscarriage? My bleeding has almost stopped would I consider this my first period? I know the doctor said to wait 1 month to be safe but I was only 6 weeks along and my G. sac wasn't very big. Anyways could I start trying again in a few days once the bleeding stops? Should I ovulate as normal after that?
Thanks a bunch for any useful information!!!

You can get pregnant 14 days after having a miscarriage. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and the doctor told me to wait 2 months but i haven't tried to get pregnant though.
Ovulation can occur 14 days after a miscarriage with the next period 28 days after the miscarriage, but there is great personal variation. It may take a few cycles before your regular pattern is re-established. This means that you can become pregnant 14 days after a miscarriage if you resume a normal cycle immediately, but there is a great personal variation. It can take up to 6 or 7 weeks for your next period to come if you had "natural" miscarriage
Good luck and sorry for your loss

You can't count miscarriage bleeding as a period. You should give your body a chance to rest up, since while you are still bleeding from the miscarriage, you are vulnerable to infection. Mostly I hear a month to six weeks as the time you should wait, but you should at least wait until you start a new cycle before you ttc.

I had a miscarriage...I was told to wait one cycle before trying again. But ya know I can't remember why that was...I think so that you can have a lmp for dating the next pregnancy. I would go with what your Dr advises.

You should follow your doctors advice. If your body has just gone through a miscarriage, it needs to recover before you get pregnant again. I know it can be tempting to try again as soon as possible, but you'll be putting yourself (and possibly another child) at risk.

You need to give your body time to readjust and begin functioning normally.

Best of luck to you!
