Are you sure you tried wikipedia? I looked there and came up with this right off the bat:

"Uranus is the Latinized form of Ouranos (Οὐρανός), the Greek word for sky. In Greek mythology Uranus is personified as the son and husband of Gaia, Mother Earth (Hesiod, Theogony). Ouranos and Gaia were ancestors of most of the Greek gods."

Ouranos or Uranus was the first ruler of the universe. He was later castrated and deposed by his son Kronos. Ouranos was imagined as the dome of the sky itself rather than as an anthropomorphic god, like his successors Kronos and Zeus.

In Roman times however, Ouranos was often depicted as Aion, the god of eternal time, in the form of a man turning the zodiac wheel. Sometimes he was placed beside the reclining form of Gaia, and the gods of the fruits of the seasons.

Yes, I agree Ouranos is Uranus. It also is the planet named Uranus which is believed to be ruling the constellation Aquarius (the Water-man in astrology). Ura means the sky-blue sky. There is also a deity called Urania the goddess of the stars of the sky in Astronomy.
I may add that we are now on the verge of entering the era of Aquarius and that we will be influenced by Uranus. We are now leaving the era of Pisces (fishes) in which we were for more than 2000 years and which was the era of the Christians . The first Christians had the symbol of the Fish. This is astronomy.

You've got your mythologies mixed... Zeus is Greek Uranus is Roman The only carry over to modern society would be in the various meaningful stories about belief, faith, honor, and not mating with a swan. Update: Ah...Uranus the Titan, son and husband of Gaea. That would be Greek and would teach us that being castrated is a very bad thing.

Ouranos is the same guy as the more well-known "Uranus". In the Greek and Roman Creation Myth, Ouranos/Uranus was the creator god, and master of the cosmos. His son was Chronos/Saturn (a.k.a. "Father Time") who usurped him, and was himself usurped in turn by his son Zeus/Jupiter.
