I want to fit 55mw laser to my celestron skycout instead of a 5mw.
Now orion offers a bracket that u could stick a 5mw laser that orion offers to be connected to the celestron skyscout. The bracket might not hold a 55mw laser thats why im asking for the circumference

Too bright a laser will degrade your dark adaption. Especially green, that color's the worst. On a telescope that would just be for show, not for practical use. Sure it looks cool like a lightsaber, but there's no reason to use that bright a laser, astronomy's about dim things.

Depends on whose laser you're getting. Packaging is different for different manufacturers. Wicked Lasers' green laser at 75 mW is under 0.5" in diameter for the tube, but the power button and clip stick out beyond that:
