I am seeking to start a tutoring buisness tutoring K-12 students. I have 3 1/2 years of experience tutoring at the collegiate level and was named my college's tutor of the year. I have a degree in biology and chemistry. I am seeking to tutor in these areas or in study skills and homework help. Does anyone have a recommendation for an appropriate rate?

You need to find out the usual rate in your area. Rates paid for tutoring vary greatly from place to place. I charge $30 an hour for most of the tutoring I do, but for that amount the hour is intensive. The minimum I would charge is $20 an hour, depending on the situation.

When i went to a tutor they charged 220 a month and had around 8 or 9 sessions...you do the math i am too tired.
