I'm trying to decide what I should major in during college. Which specialty does what? Which is the fastest growing? Which would prepare me for medical school the best?

Physiology would likely prepare you for medical school the best, but most med students say that an undergraduate major in Biology doesn't really put them above their non-bio counterparts in medical school. After the first week, everyone is on the same level.

So major in something you really enjoy.

Physiology focuses more on the way the body works. Microbiology works on a cellular level, and molecular biology is somewhat similar. I don't know all the statistics, but these articles may help:
