I do make them just because it gives me faith and hope.

1. Be a stronger person mentally and physically
2. Do something beneficial or something that will inspire someone or something

I always make a list of things I'd like to accomplish. I definitely set myself up for disappointment by doing this. But it starts my new year off with some goals. I revise, delete and alter them throughout the year. Most of them I forgot about even though I write them down. I never seem to be able to find the list I made to see what I've accomplished. That way I never know how much of a success or failure I was for the year. LOL

I usually dont (for the same reason you stated!) but thought I would give it a go this year (again!!)
Work out more - my husband constantly harasses me for not using the expensive treadmill he bought me
Keep my house a little more tidy. I have 3 kids 13, 10 and almost 2. We are always running for sports etc after working all day and I spend half of my weekends trying to get the house in order. Then I never get to do anything for myself.
Have more sex. Our bedroom has become kind of slumber party headquarters with our toddler. We are finally getting him to sleep through the night and in his own bed (woo hoo) so we have some catching up to do!!!
Happy New Year

I made a resolution not to make any resolutions thus breaking my resolution in the first place so I can be over it.

No. I am strong willed enough that I do not need some lame excuse to make me do something. I either want to do it and make it happen when ever I feel I need to. Or I do not.
