It's a DC 3V battery, we got it on EBay, with no instructions, but we did get a power adapter. We tried to chrge it, but we don't know how long we need to, and they don't seem to be working well. So how are we supposed to charge it (there are NO lights to tell us when it is done charging)

i don't know what brand, make, or model the battery is, but i would not use it if i was you - overcharging a battery isn't a great idea, cuts down its life, and could possibly be dangerous. that is has no indicators at all would worry me.

if i was you, i would stick to using the gameboy color only when the power adapter is plugged in. it stinks that you gotta be near a wall, but.. you need to be near a light source anyway, since it's the GBC, so it's not all bad, you'll just need to plug it in near a light.

you could make the best of the situation, and since the gbc has to stay there, it's less likely to get lost/dropped, and you can keep it neat, clean and organized in that area
