I collect a bunch of things, but much more interesting than my collections are my friend Stacies collections.
A collection of sand from different beaches all over the world. She has a special case for this collection and each type of sand is in it's own glass vial, they are organized by color and each vial is numbered and keyed to a list of where and by whom it was collected. Did you know there is actually sand in every color of the rainbow?
A collection of things she found on the side of the road, no lie. And it's very interesting. I saw this one when she entered it in the county fair one year. She only picks up things that have been squished by cars - old paint tubes, cans, bottlecaps. It's the weirdest thing but it was really interesting!
Clothes pins. Who knew there were so many different kinds!
Shoe dummies, not sure what they're called but the things you put in shoes so they keep their shape, there are some really interesting ones!
One of her strangest collections (that I've seen) is the no view envelope insides. You know how envelopes are printed inside so you can't read the contents through them? She collects all different types of prints and is always looking for more! Isn't that an odd thing to collect? She got one of our other friends collecting them too! Her friends all bring her envelopes to add to that collection.
One year at the fair she even entered a collection of collections in the collections category.

I collect crochet patterns books. It might not sound all that interesting, but I have a passion for crocheting. It is my hobbie/therapy.
