My husband and I had unprotected sex (twice on my ovulation days), couple of days later I started having crazy "weird" feelings (nausea, dizzy, sensitive to scents, headaches, constipated, and sometimes I "feel" my period coming, also lately my breasts are engorged and sore). I took 4 pregnancy tests, 2 had an extremely faint (almost evaporating lines) but nothing that would say it's a positive. I've waited 1 week between the last 3 tests. My period is now 3 days late and something I get major bloated. My body seems to be telling me that I am pregnant by science (i.e. tests) is saying NO! I'm trying to be positive and not stress over it but what is the likelihood that I am pregnant? I am scheduled for my annual OB-GYN exam in 7 days so I was going to wait to see the doctor. What is the longest time a woman took to get a positive result? or maybe something else is wrong with me

i forgot to add that, we weren't adamantly "trying" to conceive. We just got married 1 month ago and I ran out of birth control pills on those days. (I was suppose to add the question into the 'general' pregnancy post) But if we are indeed pregnant we would welcome our baby with open arms. I'm just not sure what's going on with my body

Maybe your diet is wrong? Are you below your normal weight? Both of those things can make you have those kinds of symptoms. I wold definatly see a doctor, looks like you are headed towards the right step. Hopefully, you don't have a tubal pregnancy(not to worry you, cause you are already worried.) Good Luck!

You could have a "stress pregnancy" - women have the ability to "feel pregnant" and some even develop symptoms and elevated hormones temporarily due to fear of or anxiously awaited pregnancy. Seeing your Gyn is the best course of action. Try to relax and take your mind off of it - stress only amplifies the problem/ Don't be too surprised though it can go either way. Good Luck!

I remember a couple years back I decided to stop taking the BC pill during the middle of the month. This cause my cycle to be extremely late. I'm talking almost two weeks late. During that time we (hubby and I) decided to have unprotected sex to see what will happen. The results: a very heavy menstrual cycle later.

You probably wouldn't have pregnancy symptoms a couple of days after conception. It takes about 6 days for the egg to even attach and start producing the hormones that cause pregnancy symptoms. Maybe you had a virus of some kind?

If the lines were faint then yes you are preg. Just do another test and make sure that you read it withing the time frame that it tells you to. The line does not have to be bright to be positive. Or you could just call your dr and ask them to order a blood test on you.

Hi, It is possible that you subconsciously think you are pregnant so your body will and can show all the signs of being pregnant without being pregnant. The power of the human mind is amazing.
I have seen this alot especially in teenage girls.
The best advice is to go to your doctor, he/she can organize a blood test.
Although you are most problem not pregnant.
Hope I have helped.
