I find myself clipping my 4 month old's nails every two or three days or so after she's scratched me really hard. It's like her nails literally grow overnight!

They don't. They grow at the same speed as adults only the fingers are smaller so it seems that they grow faster.

Most babies are like that, they are growning so everything on them grows. My daughters are 2 and 3 and I clip their nails ever 3 days. If I didn't they would have horrible long, sharp nails.

It is because the babies usually have left over hormones from the mother. Mothers give lots of hormones to their babaies, but it wears off after a few months.
