Hi
I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water (almost to the boiling point) on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet). If the stain is still visible than use a little carpet spotter on it or Dawn dishwashing liquid (2 or 3 drops into one cup of water) and repeat step 1. The stain may come back in a few days so you may have to do this a few times. Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet. At this point if the stain is still there please call a carpet cleaner.

Baking Soda is so Organically Safe towards helping our Global Warming, and if I were you....... I'd just take the rest still there and get out your broom, and just simply sweep it around until it blends in.... Leaving it there isn't going to hurt your carpet one bit..... Or, you could just break out the vacuum again to clean it up after you do the broom swoosh with the remaining bits left over....... Good-Luck, and Happy Cleaning to you!!! Smile!!!

Good answers above. I would use a stiff-bristled brush (when the baking soda is completely dry), and brush out the remaining. Vacuum the rest.

If the baking soda was wet when you vacuumed that would be hard to get out. You need to let it completely dry first, then vacuum.

It won't hurt your carpet, wait until it is completely dry and then vacum again. If it still is there, use a paper towel to pick it out. If it is really dry it should come up in the vacum.

In the future I would suggest you try "Zero" instead. It is proven to remove pet urine, etc. and the smell. Pets will mark again if they have any indication that there is any urine there. It even gets out stains that are years old. Try the website www.zeropetodor.com I use it, my sister uses it. A great product

Try sweeping it with the side of the broom to bring it up out of the carpet a little better, then vaccuum. Guess you learned your lesson on this one, huh? :)
