If u have way too many afterschool activities, u have to drop some of them. They are not the only thing that u r in school for anyway and remeber that ur studies should be ur main focus. I would suggest that u participate in only those extra-curricular activities that relax u (and keep them minimal, too many might just cause u to fail from lack of time to study and human beings need time to relax in order to function properly). Try taking up a sport for instance (that can help u to de-stress, while helping with ur focus). Try something new and fun visual/performing arts, sports, diff clubs etc. BUT KEEP THEM MINIMAL! U r only human don't overdo it.
On the issue of ur friends, don't just jump to take sides all the time. Sit them down and be the mediator, help them talk about the problems and HELP them to try resolve it. Don't be partial, u don't have to take sides. Don't let them force u into doing so either and if they do let them know that they need to stop because they are stressing u out.
Hope I've helped

I know the feeling, well kind of. I do a lot of afterschool activities which take up my monday, tuesday and friday nights plus saturday afternoon and some sundays (all day!)
I go to a private school which is very strict so there is a lot of pressure on us to study and get good grades, so I just have to study extra hard when I do have free time!
Also when I do homework, I find it good to actually think about the task in hand before you actually do it- as this saves a lot of time where you are too busy correcting yourself or thinking what to put next- whilst being distracted.
Plus, when you have an essay- write a plan first as this saves a LOT of time wasted where you waffle on writing 10 paragraphs when 5 would have done.
Finally, about your friends, don't be on anyone's side unless one person really does have a fair point in the arguement. That way you stay out of a lot of trouble!

the best thing to do is not be on anyones side, cause either way you will be on the losing end. Maybe you need to cut back on so much after school activity and start making more time for study, after school activities don't help with the grades, but studying will.

Time management, dear. Create a schedule for yourself. I have tons of homework and friends in need so I created a schedule. I spend about two hours on homework every night (with breaks of course, your brain would explode if you never took breaks) and about an hour or so on friends. Then I take a shower or bath to help relax myself. Taking care of other things requires you to take care of yourself. It's just like a rechargeable battery, it works until it has no energy left, so you recharge it. As for your friends, well, you don't need to take sides.

you shouldn't be on anybodys side. just let them deal with it themselves. if you are on 1 persons side you can lose all your friends. Your 2007 resoulution should be focusing on school work more.
