I have been feeling rare or strange sinse yesterday morning. I don't know why, but I feel like when I was little (about 8 years old); and I'm 21 now. What I mean by that is that I feel like I can't do nothing on my own, and like I want to run to my mom so that she can make me feel better.I started class today again in college, and I wasn't able to concentrate at all, I was just daydreaming most of the time. I don't know what's going on with me, or how to make myself feel better. Plus I feel like today is not my day because I had some small issues in school, which made everything worst.

You're probably right: today is not your day. College can be stressful. When you have a moment to yourself, do something that you know gives you pleasure: have some iced tea, read an old favorite book or poem, take a hot shower, do a crossword puzzle, play a video game--in other words, comfort yourself. Then call your mom.

I'm sorry if you find this to be overly critical, but why is a college student writing like a 15 year-old? Perhaps if you spent more time studying and less time being utterly self-indulgent your grades, concentration and life in general would improve.

You might want to check with your college's health and/or counseling centers. I remember when I was in college occasionally having three periods when I couldn't concentrate or do much reading. These episodes went away by themselves, but looking back on them more than three decades later, I probably should have checked with a medical professional.

My daughter is 20 she has been on her own , (own apartment, own bills and school and job I do not help her at all) since 18 the first year she told me was the hardest. so I am going to tell you what I would tell her. i think you're going to be ok. Right now you are in flux and in transition in your life and the first instinct we have is always to run to safety. What is safer than Mom? I am way older than you and I wish it sometimes as well. My Mom passed away last September and I cannot even talk to her anymore.. But you will be all right. Its always ok to call your Mom... as you move ahead you will probably do it less and less often because you will be getting your trust in yourself ..your "sealegs" so to speak My son just turned 18 and he is going thru the same thing ( my kids LEAVE home at 18 they have to learn to stand on their own I give them emotional support) its the first year syndrome for him but for all of you you are all going to be all right...good luck

maybe you should see a psychiatrist. They specialize in that kind of stuff. Not trying to be rude or anything but maybe your feelings about running to your mom about stuff is normal thats what moms are for. But the daydreaming is maybe something to look into.

Dont worry,
it looks a self-confidence issue, but don't care of it and things will be better. This is really a minor thing that shouldn't affect you that much.
keep on !
