okay, so my aunt is having her third baby, and its a girl for the first time!!! me and my sister get to chose the first name for her, and since my sister isn't helping at all, im taking charge!!!

i dunno about you, but im really into pretty names that can be shortened into guys names, or just generally nice names with beautiful middle names.

here are some im really considering:

Danielle Arianna (low sounding a's and r's...not like ariel the mermaid)

Cassidy Gail

Shea Frances (shea as in "shay")

Leigh Emily

Hazel Whetherly

Esther Leigh

like any of them??? please help!!!

Cassidy Gail is my favorite. It sounds nice together and it's just an overall beautiful name. And her nickname could be Cassie.

I like the names Danielle and Arianna but not together. Arianna would make a pretty first name. I also like the name Frances but not so much Shea. And Leigh and Emily both have "lee" in them so they don't go too well together imo. Hazel is nice but Whetherly sounds more like a last name. Esther is nice but I don't think too many people would appreciate the name. And thats just my opinion of the names.

you could always go with my name.. Melanie Renee. lol. I get called Mel but I don't really like it cause it's a guy name but you said you like names like that so yeah there you go. other nicknames could be melz, mel-bell or melly.

i have a friend and her parents combined their names, jay and lynn to form the name Jaylynn.
Do you like the name Nicole? It's pretty common and simple but her nickname could be Nick or Cole..

What about Emily Gail, Cassidy Leigh or Danielle Whetherly?

If you like names that can be shortened to boys names try these:
Alexandra
Jacqueline
Mikayla
Samantha

Then try mixing them up with middle names like:
Grace
Rose
Leigh

I would stick with Biblical names. Consider Rebecca (beautiful), Sarah (princess), Esther (queen), Miriam (Hebrew for Mary), Adina, Leah, Rachel, or Naomi. These names are not tied to the here and now, they are timeless and have wonderful roots. Please, whatever you do, think about how the child will feel when they call her name at school. Stay away from names that rhyme with nasty words. Children are mean and will try to use an unusual name to hurt another child's feelings. Stay away from the weird/made up names like Sheniqua, Shakira, Takisha and Tenisha, ya' know what I mean? Good luck and enjoy being an aunt.

No offense, but Leigh Emily doesn't go together very well.

Danielle Arianna is pretty. Esther Leigh is cute too.

Well, I have 2 girls and their names are Caitlin Elizabeth & Taylor Grace, both which I thought were modern and classic. Some names we considered were Riley, Allison, Sarah, Kennedy, Cameron, Alexandria. You have to pick a good strong name, something with meaning, but won't sound like a child when they are 25, like Caitlin can be shortened to Cate and Taylor can be called Grace if she likes, don't do anything crazy like Lexus or Mercedes (LOL). Give them a strong name!!!
