Others said it well regarding the date, but for me it will start a bit earlier, a couple weeks before Easter, when I start to think of social things, little prezzies to buy mates' children and so on.

Good Friday is the 6th April so Easter sunday is 8th and Easter Monday is the 9th.

Easter Sunday is Sunday, April 8th this year.
It is also Easter for the Eastern Orthodox Church as well.
