Some horse riders sew their ribbons and rosettes won from horse shows onto quilts and cushion covers, and they look FANTASTIC. I know cardboard/paper from Christmas cards isn't quite the same or as flexible to use as ribbon, but perhaps you could think along those lines? I found a great website a few years ago, of a teenage girl who custom made some excellent quilts etc using people's ribbons. Wish I could remember the address! =\ It could have possibly been a great source of inspiration

my daughter cuts out the pics she likes and uses them on scrapbbok pages, she also uses them to make greeting cards.
I have taken a rare few with a picture or saying on it and framed it for a holiday decoration.
cut the main parts of the pics out and make a collage in the shape of a star or something , decorate with glitter and hang it from the ceiling (like a large ornament- not for the tree)

make placecards for dinner guests

use the pics to make a collage/ picture/ scrapbook page for a friend

Do you make your own cards? If so, you can recycle the cards you've rec'd over the years by cutting out pictures and/or sayings and paste them to card stock, sign & send them out. Add your own touches...lace, layered cardstock, embellishments, etc... Make them your own...have fun!!!!

You can make coaster, bookmarks, place mats, postcards using the front, and a card basket.
