I use Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Foundation. It has great coverage, without clogging the pores & what's more has an SPF of 8.
There's an array of colours to suit skin tones & I find it lasts all day, it's so easy to apply too
Here's what it says.....
This super lightweight makeup with skin-balancing botanicals adjusts to the needs of combination skin.. Combination complexions need a sophisticated mix of coverage plus oil-controllers to ensure excess shine doesn't leave your make-up looking worn out before you are! Skin Balancing Make-up is the light, liquid foundation that brilliantly takes care of this delicate balancing act. Oil free to give a semi-matt appearance, there's also kaolin and a blend of silicones in the formulation to gently control oil production, safeguarding the flawless, natural finish this foundation gives. While Skin Balancing Make-up covers and conceals, it also helps the skin achieve a healthy equilibrium. Skin looks clear, fresh, balanced. For combination skin. Semi matte finish.
I tend to buy mine from Ebay & here's what I get for £5.99

As a makeup artist, I have sampled many different brands, including Presccriptives, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, etc. I would highly recommend Shiseido hydro-liquid compact foundation. It comes in a compact with a sponge and is easy to use. It covers blemishes beautifully but never looks cakey, heavy or unnatural. And I think it is around $32 or $35. You buy the case once and after that all you have to pay for are the refills. The color matches beatuifully because they have colors for skins with more olive undertones or more ivory undertones so makeup never looks too "orangey." If I remember correctly they don't offer as many colors for those with darker skin. If your skin is dark, try Prescriptives for a good match. Hope this helps.

Estee Lauder Maximum Cover. My whole family uses it and it is a superb product. It gives you a flawless complexion with minimum effort and comes in a tube like toothpaste, so it's not all runny like a lot of the other foundations in glass bottles out there. There is a wide range of shades to suit any skin tone. It is a bit pricey at around £20, but you certainly get what you pay for with foundation.

This is an absolute must for anyone who is looking for good coverage and a naturally blemish-free and silky finish. Top with a dusting of Clinique Pressed Powder and your skin will look like a dream. I can't recommend it enough.

such a wide spectrum! you really need to do some investigative work in some department stores, you need to be sure that you're using foundation for the correct reason anyway. theres no point using one for the sake of it.

basically they vary so greatly that the question cant be answered in one....but here goes.

you get sorts with or without oil, without oil for greasy skins, with oil for drier skins. sorts that dry as powders, which look a bit chalky if used too heavily. and tinted moisturisers which go on lovely and smooth and lightly. good for a first time user.

ones i used to use are by clarins, its not quite a tinted moisturiser but a very light colour tint. applied with a brush, its very natural. its about £20.

they will all be around the same price for a good one. you should also apply it using a brush or sponge, for even application. hope that helps! xxx

I just switched to using Physician's Formula called Mineral Wear. It's just like bare minerals, and other companies but it's only like $10. It's so easy to apply and as long as you don't get the powder on your clothes it's not messy at all like liquid foundation. I have oily skin and this foundation is much better than MAC. MAC has been making my skin break out and much oilier, and any mineral powder foundation is also better for skin and eventually improves the overall look of your skin hopefully meaning no more acne.

Spray on foundation! Go see a makeup artist, they usually sell it bc that is what most use. It evens out your skin tone and is so lightweight! Always splurge on your foundation bc that is your canvas for everything else and you can always budge on other things bc make up tends to follow trends too. But without an even skintone it doesnt matter what else you do to your face! For everyday makeup I would try a sheer tint foundaiton (dermalogica has one for $32.00 and Mary Kay has one for $18.00).

That depends on how much you are willing to spend. I have try them all. The best one I found was the Bobbi Brown. I look natural with it on and you cant tell if I am wearing it. Trust me it does cover you little flaws and give you a nice health glow. Ask for simple before you buy any of it and make sure they match you with the right one that matches your skin tone. That's the most important thing about foundation.

i actually suggest tinted moisturizer. it works the same except already has SPF in it, and it is a moisturizer, obviously. you can apply it with your hands or on a sponge. it comes on really thin but covers nicely- it is really light. its not that exprensive either and you can get it from almost any drug store. take a look at the jergens item i have the link for below. I use it and I love it. also try the jane line of nearly foundation tinted mositurizer. i have a link for that below too.

Anything that's it a good make is good, max factor is good, the price does not matter as the best ones are usually expensive.

I love Lancome Adaptive! it's a little pricey (about $30) but it's great. The coverage is great- not too heavy, it's meant for any skin type, and it smells good. I've never had any problems with it making my skin oily or breakout. Plus, it's long lasting.
