Line dancing originated from America. In the days of the gold prospectors, these men were living miles from the nearest town, so to make their own entertainment they would get up in turn and do a bit of dancing.this eventually turned into them all getting up and all doing their own thing. This became more co-ordinated after a while where they would form a line to do the dancing, and attempt to do it all together. That is how it all started.

My understanding of line dancing is dances like the Electric Slide, the Macerena, the Alley Cat, the Chicken Dance, etc. Line dancing can be done by anyone and it is easy to do. You can even create your own line dances to some music you like! Just get some friends to dance with you! I think line dances are silly, easy dances that are just a whole lot of fun!

Hi, the best way to find out is to go to a class near you. Everyone has a different oppinion, but its best for you to find out if it actually apeals to you.
I go to a local line dancing group when im feeling energetic enough. Its excerlent excersice and many people enjoy doing it from beginers to experianced line dancers.
It can be difficult, but also fun and most classes will alow children to attend with a responsable adult.
