After reading some of the answers, all I can say is : wow! Some women just don't understand what a near-death experience Man Flu can be.
Where's the sympathy? Where's the love and support? Where's the remote control?

The is no such thing as a common cold in men - its man flu!
Symptoms include being unable to move off the sofa, losing all sense of smell so not having to change their socks or pj bottoms, inability to make a cuppa or do anything other than press buttons on the remote control!
Females symptoms couldnt be as bad, as they still manage to go to work, cook dinner, do shopping, wipe noses and read kids stories!

I do have worse colds than my wife, but I do like a few "Hot Toddy's" when I have a cold, so not only am I bunged up, I have a stonking headache as well.

cos men are babies and make a big thing outa nothing, thats why they call it man flu, only men can make such a fuss about a common cold!

its man flu lol men are such babies when it comes to being ill it probably lasts longer because they dont want us mugs of women to stop running round after them doing everything for them i have been ill for over a week i have still gone to work and done all the house work,shopping and cooking tut it sucks being a woman sometimes i dont get looked after when im ill i have to grin and bear it

You reckon I always get a worse cold than my other half . Men get over it far quicker ( well thats if there not a wimp that is )

Because they can stay in bed with no worries such as who is gonna do the washing, sort the kids etc. Man Flu I think its called.

I think you'll find the disease is called Man-Flu, very debiliatating. Can be cured by high doses of Match-Of-The-Day-azine or Naked Ladies-enol. Tends to come and go but is certainly worse in the presence of housework.

They don't its just that are they softer and make it seem longer! us women have things to do and get on with life even if it means doing it with a cold!

Because we get MAN colds, which are actually far worst that girly colds. That's why we have to take to our beds for almost a week, and be looked after, so we can be very brave about being so ill.
