Pork soup is back on the menu for homeless people in Paris after a judge ruled it could not be deemed racist.
Organisers of soup kitchens linked to extreme rightwing groups overturned a ban imposed by the city authorities over fears that its handouts discriminated against Jews and Muslims.

Police had shut down food distributions by the organisation SDF (Solidarité des Français) - the same initials as given to the homeless group Sans Domicile Fixe - because of alleged xenophobia and fears of protests.

Thank God a judge somewhere has stood up to the PC crowd.

I do cheer the return of common sense. I thought I read that the French Interior Minister or someone at the cabinet level has said he is going to take a very hard line in the future with muslim rioters and by starting to actually punish muslims for crimes they commit.

The PC crowd only exists in France does it?

I guess you missed the news segment about Seattle airport having to remove its Christmas tree this year.

I bet most of you haven't even been to France and don't know the first thing about them (apart from what Rush or Bill O'Reilly tell you).

At the same time as you rip into the French I bet you wonder why Americans get a bad name in the world as well ?

Don't laugh too hard--have you seen the wailing here in the States that the homeless shelters need to be monitored to see that starving homeless are fed good food, and not transfats and empty calories? A bowl of soup isnt good enough any more, it has to be organic and approved by Center for Science in the Public Interest as well as the Southern Poverty Law Center.

I've stopped buying anything I can trace back to France. I don't appreciate their politics and don't support the country.

I do feel for all the world's homeless and hungry tho'

I am not cheering it.

Only the dirty French would serve unclean Swine. In the States, we give our poor Prime Rib and Fillet Mignon.

God bless their little froggy hearts. France must be the source for all the goofy, left-wing politically correct crap that ends up in the US.
