I have high-speed cable connection and always have to reset my router and cable modem. This used to never happen. Then it started about two months ago when I had to reset it about once a week. Now I have to reset once every few hours.

What's can I do to fix this problem?

Clear the Cache on your Router. The routing tables cache may be filled to capacity.

I do not know if this will help... I have a DLink. I was trying to set up the port forwarding, but was using a very high port number. Apparently this router does not like it and resets itself every couple of hours. I then check DLink's site and they have a specified range of ports for particular programs. I use the specified ports and no problems so far (a couple of months since). You might want to check the router log for any issues, like dropped packages. If you are getting a lot of this, then the router may restart to clean itself. Maybe check Linksys's site for troubleshooting.
