Either the dress pants and shirt (with either a sweater or jacket), the pants suit (as long as it's fashionable), or the skirt and blouse (as long as the skirt is at least thigh to knee length).
If you can put your hair up into some type of style, then go with that. If it's just going to look like you plopped it on top of your head, then leave it down, but use a hairband or clips for the front.
Wear nice, MATCHING, heels or pumps (not too high or stilleto).
Don't wear long dangling earrings, lot's of jewelry, or flashy makeup and nailpolish.

As far as questions:
1) What would you say your strongest point(s) is(are)?
2) What could you contribute to our company?
3) Tell me about a work experience where you used your ____ (strongest point)
4) Tell me about a work experience where you had an irate customer and how did you deal with them.
5) Describe or define customer service to me as you see it.
6) Tell me about a work experience where you had a great customer.
7) Tell me about a work experience when things didn't go as planned and how you resolved it.
8) Why did you leave your last job (or any of the jobs you have listed)?
9) What were you doing during this time period (any gaps in your employment)?
10) Tell me about yourself. (This is your chance to show what direction you have in life and how you view work, not what you like to do with friends on the weekend)
11) What would you say is your weakest point?
12) Name some (or one) thing(s) that you could improve about yourself.
13) What do you look for in a job? (Do not say MONEY!!! Job satisfaction, responsibility, adequate compensation (money!), the chance for advancement, a place where I can contribute while using my skills, etc.)
14) Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?

There are many more but just be prepared to think on your feet. Make sure that you have thought about what you could bring to their business, what they can expect to get from you as an employee, and what you expect from them as an employer.

Ask some pertinent questions about the company when they ask you if you have any questions at the end of the interview, like:
1) What type of growth in client base have you had in the last year?
2) Why did the last receptionist leave?
3) Are there any other offices that belong to this company?
4) Do you plan to expand anytime in the near future?

DON'T get thrown if they ask you a question that you have to take a minute to think about, but don't take forever to answer either. Make sure that your answers are believable - don't try to bullshit your way through. If you can't come up with a strong answer to a question, then use the best example that comes to mind. And in the end, don't beat yourself up because you thought of what you should have said to a particular question after the interview - it happens to everyone. Be yourself and play up your skills and abilities, don't try to convince them that you're someone that you're not.
And above all else, be accountable for any mistakes in your past that may come out in the interview - don't make it like it's someone else's fault.

Good Luck and be prepared above all else!!!

P.S. A couple of more questions that will be job specific:
How fast do you type? (make sure that whatever you put on your application is true)
How many phone lines have you had on previous jobs?
Do you like to work as an individual or in a group? (Can you handle responsiblity on your own AND can you work with others)
Have you ever worked in an office before?
What did you do at this company? (Any place you have previously worked that they know about from your application or from conversation)

Make eye contact frequently during the interview, keep your hands in your lap unless you are using them (don't cross your arms on your chest), and sit straight up in your chair and lean forward slightly.
When the interview ends, shake the interviewer's hand, and thank them for their time. Send a thank you note to them personally for giving you the chance to interview. Follow up in about a week with a phone call to let them know that you're still interested if you haven't heard anything. Don't be afraid to ask them where you stand in the applicants or where they are in the hiring process.

I'd stick with either the suit or the skirt, provided it's a long skirt. Don't wear a short skirt! Nice, dress shoes. Stick with typical colors, like black or blue. Don't wear peach or green or anything. Just be professional.

Wear your hair however it looks good and professional. If you it's looks nice up, wear it up. Try both ways, and ask a friend what they like better for an interview.

Expect questions about what qualifies you for the position, experiences with computers and busy phones, any related experience. Also, expect some personal questions, like how you interact with difficult employees, how you've overcome challenging situations, etc. Be prepared to ask a few questions yourself! Avoid salary, though. Ask about room for growth in the company, or something that shows an interest in the position.

The black pants and a dressy shirt would work nicely, just make sure the top isn't revealing in any way. Shoes - low heels or flats, you don't want to look like you're going out on the town.

Your hair- either half up/half down, or all up. It just looks more professional.

As to the questions, they'll ask what office equipment you are knowledgeable of, what software you have used, and how well you get along with others. If you'll be working in a large practice, they will definitely check your references - they want to make sure you're going to get along well with the others working there, so your past work history will be important.

Smile!! Be pleasant. It's what they are looking for. Best of luck!!
