Have discs recorded on partitioned hard drive. HadC>D>E>F> Now hardrive is as one. reading them says can`t find data on relevant drive say F for instance , any way of reading these, in another way. I have XP installed.

The drive is now only master and slave, and is only C and D now.

If you have a CD-ROM drive it is probably d now your hard drive is probably E Your shortcuts are probably pointing to F which is no longer there. you will have to make new shortcut to E drive providing that is your second hard drive

All kinds of software and shortcuts will be looking for those old drives to find apps and data. Assuming you didn't lose all that data when you repartitioned the drive, every instance is going to be a different cure. Changing shortcut properties, changing file paths, reinstalling software...etc
