Snowy's breed was never directly referenced in the Tintin stories. Many sources about Tintin and Snowy claim that the little white dog is a fox terrier. While there are some similarities, the wire-haired fox terrier has much longer legs and neck than Tintin's dog, especially the way he looked in some of the earlier stories. Also, fox terriers rarely (if ever) are solid white -- they tend to always have some black, brown, etc. on them. An albino one would have red eyes, which of course Snowy does not have.

If your brother truly wants a dog that resembles Tintin's famous pet, I recommend looking for a Sealyham Terrier. The link below shows a typical representative of this breed. In my opinion, this looks much more like Snowy than any fox terrier I've ever seen. Good luck obtaining one!

I'm doing basic obedience right now. My trainer hasn't once handled my dog. He has shown me how to handle my dog by using his own dog but that's about it. The reasoning is that I need to learn how to do these basic corrections and what not myself. Learn more https://tinyurl.im/naWlO

I have never considered sending my dog away for training. I guess I haven't found that much of a problem with him to even think about it.

Again, it may also have to do with the level of training you are looking for etc. No idea lol. I'm not a trainer. I think a first time dog owner needs to learn simple commands and how to handle their dog themselves as well.
